Allumer have just arrived back from our first trip to Istanbul and had the most amazing time! It’s such a wonderful place with incredible food, views and of course jewellery.
We went to some amazing restaurants whilst out there, including one in the middle of the sea! The food was spectacular, so fresh and filled with flavour. We also, of course, indulged in many Turkish Delights!
Wherever you are in Istanbul there is something impressive to look at whether it be the beautiful sea or the tremendous sights such as the Grand Bazaar, a remarkable labyrinth filled with gorgeous colours. The jewellery was stunning and particularly known for its evil eye pendants – an amulet the Turkish use to protect themselves from bad luck and negative power/energy.
One of the main things that stood out about Istanbul was how it was just filled with colour and it really sets the mood of the place. Colour can, without our realizing it, have a profound effect on how we feel both mentally and physically. This is something we can relate to at Allumer as we like to include bold bright colours in our jewellery.
Istanbul was wonderful – we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a city break and cannot wait to return ourselves!
Now we are back to reality in busy London feeling refreshed after our short break! Have a great weekend!
Love, Allumer X
